York are currently second in the table, one point behind Forest Green Rovers with a game in hand. They were 2-0 victors at Oldham Athletic on Tuesday evening.

United will welcome back defender Connor Teale, who was cup-tied in the National League Cup in midweek, but will still be without the services of Michael Bostwick, Mitch Roberts and Dan Adshead.

The Pilgrims have won their last six home fixtures against the Minstermen – two in Division Three and four in National League North.
