'Thommo' made 197 appearances for the Pilgrims, scoring six goals, and winning two Northern Premier League titles, two NPL Shields, two County Cups and one Inter-League Cup, between 1976 and 1980.

Steve went on to play for and manage Lincoln City - and managed against the Pilgrims in 2006-2007 as Notts County boss.

He was more recently a regular visitor as part of the BBC Radio Lincolnshire commentary team.
