Season Tickets - 2026-2027

Craig Singleton24 Apr - 15:00

As season tickets go on sale for the 2026-2027 National League season, chairman David Newton has provided an update on a range of topics.

Mr Newton commented: "It has been another challenging season, but since Paul's appointment in January, things have really turned around. From the position we were left in, to be safe with four games to go was a fantastic achievement. Moving to full-time has certainly had its challenges, but it was the right decision as we look to move the club forward.

"The squad have been absolutely brilliant once again this season. We have unfortunately suffered a number of injuries, and some players had not been 'full-time' before, so it has been challenging, but they all have had to work very hard to keep the results coming in over the past weeks as a long season takes its toll.

"The loan players have fitted in really well and have very quickly become part of our 'family' at Boston United. We still need to finish as high as we possibly can, so I am sure the lads will dig deep for the last game to put as many points on the board as possible.

"Off the pitch, we were delighted to be able to start work on the South Stand and Sports Hub. Construction has gone well to date and with luck the stand will be open for the new season – well, that is the aim – with the rest of the building being completed hopefully by the end of the year. That will bring to completion a VERY long project! Many clubs put out glossy images of the new stadiums that they are going to built, but not many actually deliver, so I am delighted that we will have been able to create this new facility, not just for the club, but for the community as a whole.

"It is very sad to see the York Street ground disappearing, and it will always be our traditional home, but the facts are that the lease could not be renewed; the stadium needed a huge amount spending on it as it was starting to fall apart, and we could not generate anywhere near enough income to sustain the club, so our time there had to come to an end. But it is certainly the end of a very significant part of the club's history, and she will always be remembered with great affection.

"Back to this season and, once again, despite a very challenging period on the pitch during the early part of the campaign, our support home and away has been unbelievable, so it was hugely important that we retained our place in the National League to reward such great support and, of course, give us the opportunity to progress towards the goal of EFL football.

"I must thank everyone associated with the club and the Community Foundation for continuing to make Boston United a special place to work, visit and support.

"With the completion of the new stand and Sports Hub, I believe we have laid the foundations for a successful future.

"Financially it has been a very hard season. The cost of changing managers, supporting Paul after he came in, moving to full-time, and increasing the playing budget has taken its toll on the finances. Then throw in the further hikes in minimum wage, general cost increases across the board, coupled with the increase in employer’s National Insurance contributions, we certainly are not where we would like to be.

"In pure business terms, ticket prices should rise significantly to try and help us balance the books, but we are also acutely aware that the same cost increases are affecting so many of our supporters. We have therefore taken the decision to FREEZE general admission ticket prices this coming season to give as many fans as possible the chance to come to continue to support us.

"Unfortunately, we have had to increase the hospitality prices slightly to help cover the increases in food costs, and staff wages, but we also think the offer overall is good value for money (as I am told by many people attending Club 85 on matchdays).

"In conclusion, I think the club is in great shape overall. We have an excellent management team in Paul and Chris, and if we can get the recruitment right over the summer, I believe we should be challenging at the upper end of the table next season, but it will not be easy.

"We need everyone behind us, and I can assure you that we will push as hard as we can. Thank you once again for your ongoing support, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Jakemans Community Stadium for another season in the National League very soon. Have a great summer."
