Will Atkinson became the club's latest recruit on Tuesday – following hot-on-the-heels of Ben Pollock, Lebrun Mbeka, Ellis Myles, Jordon Crawford, Alex Brown and Scott Pollock.

With more newcomers set to arrive over the coming weeks, it promises to be another exciting season for the Pilgrims' faithful.

So far, 654 season tickets have been snapped up for the Pilgrims' second season with supporters at the Jakemans Community Stadium – can we make that 700?

Chairman David Newton said: "Following on from the exciting end to last season, season ticket sales have been absolutely fantastic, particularly considering the current economic climate.

"The new signings that are now coming through will hopefully give us an equally exciting season, and with just over two days to go until the 'early bird' offer closes, we would love to break the 700 barrier. We are grateful to all those that have purchased already, but with a final push it would be great to reach 700 mark!"

United have already surpassed last season's tally of 570 season ticket holders – with the 'early bird' offering available until the close of business on Thursday (June 30).
