Boston United have launched their brand-new streaming service ahead of Saturday's National League North fixture against Guiseley.

The weekend's behind-closed-doors encounter at The Northolme will be the first match shown live on the club's pay-per-view offering – in association with InPlayer.

Fixtures will be available on a match-by-match basis or as a season-long subscription.

The new streaming service is part of a wider offering for fans to pledge their support to the Pilgrims in unprecedented times.

Existing 2020-2021 adult and concession season ticket holders will be entitled to season-long access to the streaming service (but not under-16s).

The sale of full season tickets has re-started, with supporters able to throw their backing behind Craig Elliott and his team as the Pilgrims aim to build upon Tuesday's resounding 4-0 victory over Leamington – and have their seats or terracing places reserved once spectators are allowed to return in-person.

Reflecting on the launch of the streaming service and various 'virtual' products surrounding matchdays, United chairman David Newton said: "We have worked hard this week to put in place a streaming service for all home games.

"A test was held yesterday which went extremely well, but please bear with us if we have any glitches with the first game! The streaming service will also include the live commentary via BBC Radio Lincolnshire. As the service beds in, we will look to enhance the content and the 'matchday experience' as a whole.

"Although the cost of a streaming season ticket is considerably less than a full season ticket price, the vast majority of fans that had already purchased their season tickets have not asked for any refund which will really help the club's finances and we are extremely grateful for their generosity.

"Apart from the 'match-by-match' streaming and the streaming season tickets we are launching today, you can still purchase 'Full Season Tickets' which will not only offer streaming (including some cup games), but will also bring additional vital income into the club AND secure your place in the new stadium when hopefully we can all be together again later in the season.

"You can also buy 'virtual' food, 'virtual' parking spaces – and even a 'virtual' pint!

"Thanks to so many people for your ongoing support so far this season. Until we can all be back together, I hope today's launch will help everyone to once again play a big part in the season."

Starting the season (and the streaming service) is a big financial commitment for the club, so all passes purchased for 2020-2021 are non-refundable should the season suffer a delay – or curtailment – due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The 'virtual' sale items initially include a pint of beer, burger or cup of tea.

Subscriptions for the club's award-winning matchday programme are also available, either for collection or postage – or for the first time as a PDF download.

Fixtures played at The Northolme will only have a downloadable PDF available, with physical copies available for the first fixture at the Jakemans Community Stadium – and beyond.
