What does the Lincolnshire landscape look like after three games?

League sponsors Vanarama have been busy assessing the season so far - and what’s to come!

What’s been happening?
It’s been a solid start for the Pilgrims who remain unbeaten with five points from three games. After drawing the opening two games, the third game was always going to be important – a win over Leamington was a welcome one!

View from the gaffer’s seat...
Craig Elliott has been pleased with how his side have handled tricky opposition so far, but he said, “I’d like to have scored more goals, but it will come.” After their midweek win, the boss said his side’s football gave him goose bumps.

Biggest result so far...
When you start a season with two draws, the next result is always the most important one. Leamington had been in solid form before heading to York Street so getting the three points turned a good start into a great one.

Top performer…
Jordan Thewlis has looked a threat early on but will be missing after his red card on Tuesday. When Jake Wright gets into his stride, there shouldn’t be any stopping him.

Stat attack...
League position: 10th
Home goals for: 2
Away goals for: 1
Home goals against: 1
Away goals against: 1
Top scorer: Jordan Thewlis (2)

Next up…
Not many predicted Guiseley would be one of the sides staking an early claim. There’s still a long way to go but the Lions have been in remarkable form and have netted 11 times.

What should Boston be wary of?
Expect the unexpected. From two away games to date, they’ve had a 5-0 win and a 3-0 defeat, so it all depends what Guiseley side turns up. If they’re on form, expect a tough game.

Stand-out performer...
Aaron Martin has been in sensational goalscoring form and leads the way in the early Golden Boot race. Impressing fans with his ruthless start, Martin has notched six times in four games.

Last time out….
How could you forget the nine-goal thriller these two served up back in January? The lead changed hands five times at Nethermoor Park that day with Lewis Gibbens' late strike eventually settling things. Certainly value for money!
