Following consultation with the Blackwell family, a minute's applause will be staged moments before kick-off against the Shaymen – the Pilgrims' first home National League fixture of the season.

In the meantime, United's players will wear black armbands in the National League Cup fixtures against Middlesbrough and Leeds United in memory of the 77-year-old, who sadly passed away in the early hours of Monday, having dedicated his life to the Pilgrims' cause since 1978.

A book of condolence will open on Thursday for supporters to sign – situated in the hospitality reception at the Jakemans Community Stadium.

The initial hours for signing will be:

Thursday August 7: 10.00am to 7.00pm
Friday August 8: 9.00am to 5.00pm
Saturday August 9: 11.30am to 1.00pm

Any cards or tributes can be left in hospitality reception – and the club will arrange delivery to the family.
