The 22-year-old, who has made seven appearances for League One outfit Barnsley this season, returned to Pride Park earlier in the month – ahead of completing a loan move to the Jakemans Community Stadium on Friday.

He has made 23 appearances for the Rams - since making his debut in August 2022.

Rooney is registered and eligible to make his debut against Boreham Wood at the weekend. He will wear squad number 20.
