Boston United resume their Emirates FA Cup campaign on Saturday with a trip to face Isthmian League side Carshalton Athletic.

Set to be backed by several hundred travelling supporters, the Pilgrims will be aiming to make it into the second round for the first time as a non-league club since 1996, having already reached the first round for the first time since 1997.

United have overcome Stamford AFC, Sutton Coldfield Town and Hednesford Town in successive away fixtures, while Carshalton have progressed through four rounds including a two-division upset against Dagenham and Redbridge last time out.

The Robins, managed by Peter Adeniyi, are eighth in the Premier Division of the Isthmian League and are currently unbeaten in 10 matches in all competitions since a 4-1 home reversal to Hornchurch on September 14.

United boss Craig Elliott has an abundance of selection options for the trip to the Capital, with several fringe players impressing against Grantham Town on Tuesday evening.

Jay Rollins is expected to return after missing last weekend's trip to AFC Telford United, while Jake Wright could be involved too after emerging as a substitute in midweek.

Saturday's match referee is Tom Reeves, who last officiated the Pilgrims at Brackley Town in March 2018.

Should a replay be required, it will be staged at The Jakemans Stadium on Tuesday November 19 (kick-off 7.45pm).
