The 35-year-old, who captained the Spireites to the National League title in 2024, has linked up with Paul Hurst's squad until the conclusion of the campaign.

Grimes has close to 200 appearances to his credit for Chesterfield - and will wear squad number 23 during his time as a Pilgrim.

He began his career at Swansea City and has featured for a variety of clubs since making his senior debut in 2009.

He is registered and eligible to make his debut against Sutton United on Saturday.
