• Preparing and cooking high quality food for functions, events and of course hospitality food on matchdays;
• Recruitment of catering staff;
• Source local suppliers; carefully monitor food stocks, and place orders;
• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen areas.
You should:
• Be extremely hard-working, creative and have experience of working in a senior position where you have managed a similar catering function;
• Be able to demonstrate good technical skills and a good understanding of food handling; food hygiene and health and safety;
• Possess good interpersonal and management skills;
• Be passionate about producing good food and excellent service;
• Have the ability to keep calm, but also deliver consistently good food to agreed timescales;
• Have excellent time management abilities;
• Have excellent organisational, management and communication skills;
• Have the ability to work without supervision; be self-motivated and disciplined, but also work as a key part of our friendly team;
• Pay attention to detail to ensure consistent, high standards and demonstrate commitment and loyalty;
• Be prepared to have flexibility around working hours and work 'unsocial' hours when necessary.
Qualifications:
• HNC or above in Professional Cookery/Culinary Arts would be preferred, but the ability to demonstrate the skills outlined above is just as important.
Working Hours:
• As expected in a senior role such as this, working patterns and hours may vary, therefore you must have a flexible approach to working hours.
General:
• Competitive salary;
• Meals on duty;
• Pension;
• Chance to prove reputation;
• Excellent opportunities to progress;
• This is a permanent role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, hard-working, ambitious, commercially-aware chef to help us quickly establish the reputation of this fantastic new venue, for delivering consistently high quality food and service across all areas.
If you have the relevant experience and ambition, we would like to hear from you.
