From July 2024, Boston United will be running a full-time Football and Education programme for females aged from 16 to 19 years (Years 11, 12, 13). The programme will be a post-GCSE provision based at the Jakemans Community Stadium, the home of Boston United.
This mix of football and education available to young female players will be unique for this area, and we will be applying to play in the National Football Youth League, playing against some excellent clubs.
While fresh in the women's game, this programme has been running for (16-19) males for many years at Boston United, and contains an extremely robust academic programme - with courses offered in Sport and Business to Level 3 (the equivalent of three A-Levels and 168 UCAS points), plus Higher Education courses in Personal Training, and degrees in sport and business too.
Our male programme attracts students from across many different academic levels, including those achieving Grades 8/9. So even if you consider your daughter "academic" and have only explored college or sixth form options, we would strongly encourage you to attend our open event, especially if she has a keen interest in playing football or gaining valuable coaching experience and qualifications.
The open event will allow female players and their parents to attend an academic presentation from our education partner SCL Education Group, which will discuss the courses we have available, the level of education provided and potential exit routes for students. We will also discuss the football and coaching opportunities available.
After the presentation, players will then take part in a football session to assess their ability on the pitch.
The evening will take place from 6.30pm on Tuesday December 19 at the Jakemans Community Stadium. If you would like to register to attend, please click here.
If you cannot make this date, but would like to be involved in future events, please complete the Expression of Interest form by clicking here.
