Boston United 4-2 Grantham Town

The Pilgrims, showing 10 changes to their last league XI, trailed Grantham Town courtesy of early Craig Westcarr and Remaye Campbell strikes.

Tom Clare cut the deficit before half-time, Jordan Adebayo-Smith levelled after the break and Shaun Tuton clinched United's place in the final with a well-taken brace.

United had rattled the post through Adebayo-Smith by the time Grantham took a 12th minute lead, with WESTCARR steering the ball past former team-mate George Willis.

The Gingerbreads doubled their lead 15 minutes later when Notts County loanee CAMPBELL struck after the Pilgrims had failed to clear a corner.

United reduced the arrears in the 34th minute when Tuton poked an effort against the post and CLARE poached from close-range.

The Pilgrims levelled four minutes after half-time when ADEBAYO-SMITH saw his angled effort deflect beyond the reach of Stoke City loanee Adnan Kanuric.

TUTON put United ahead for the first time on the night with an excellent left-footed effort from 20 yards which had Kanuric floundering at his near post.

United sealed their progress in the 63rd minute when TUTON angled another effort beyond Kanuric’s reach from inside the penalty area.
