Jamie Cooke opened the scoring for the Pitmen in the 33rd minute and ex-Pilgrim Ahkeem Rose doubled the advantage from the penalty spot after 68 minutes - with Louis Chadwick having earlier spectacularly denied Aaron Jarvis from the 12-yard mark.
