An attritional affair ended goalless - despite the Pilgrims' best efforts to force a winning goal in pursuit of a fifth consecutive victory.
Chances were at a premium throughout, with visiting keeper Jas Singh producing his best save to keep out his own team-mate Kennedy Digie, while Frankie Maguire lifted an effort on to the roof of the net in the second half.
United boss Paul Hurst had opted to name an unchanged XI ahead of kick-off, with Arjan Raikhy preferred to Liam Waldock on the bench.
Despite bossing the early territory, the game's first chance fell to Oliver Lynch of Tamworth, who blasted into the side-netting from a tight angle.
Singh clawed aside Digie's inadvertent header towards his own goal, while Ken Aboh's angled drive flew across goal and wide of the far post.
Maguire's 25-yard free-kick flew narrowly wide as the first half ticked towards its conclusion.
The second half was an even cagier contest, with Singh denying Aboh from distance, while Maguire's curling effort rippled the top of the net.
The remainder of the contest was a stop-start affair, which suited the visitors down to the ground, as they left Lincolnshire with a point for a second season in a row.
