Elton Ngwatala scored a late winner for Kidderminster Harriers as Boston United's resolve was finally broken three minutes from time on Good Friday.

The Pilgrims fought manfully against title-chasing Harriers at Aggborough but were beaten by Ngwatala's 87th minute goal.

Ben Gordon forced a fine save from Sam Hornby in United's best chance of the game as the Pilgrims almost rewarded their 107 travelling fans with another positive result on the road.

United served up another hard-working performance away from home and restricted their high-flying hosts in the opening stages.

Daniel Nti crashed an effort too high on 29 minutes in the first half's only really noteworthy opportunity.

United threatened with Jay Rollins blazing across goal and wide and Hornby beating aside Gordon's firm drive following Adam Chapman's precise throughball.

The Pilgrims were indebted to keeper Ross Durrant for denying substitute Manny Sonupe four minutes after he had emerged from the home bench.

Kidderminster upped the ante in the closing stages although chances remained at a premium.

They did find the crucial goal to keep the title race alive when James McQuilkin crossed from the left, Andre Brown clipped the crossbar and NGWATALA stooped to head home the rebound.
