Boston United suffered a third successive defeat as Kidderminster Harriers left town with all three points on Saturday afternoon.

First half goals from Ed Williams and Ashley Chambers did the damage for the visiting Harriers and although United improved markedly after the break, Craig Elliott's side were unable to reduce the arrears.

United's woes were compounded late on when full-back Jordan Gough was sent off for a second bookable offence.

The Pilgrims were ultimately undone by a quickfire double from the visitors early on in proceedings.

Kidderminster took a 15th minute lead when WILLIAMS skipped past a variety of challenges before unleashing a firm drive which flew beyond the grasp of United keeper George Willis.

Harriers doubled their advantage seven minutes later when CHAMBERS volleyed home from the edge of the box after the Pilgrims had only partially cleared a Kidderminster set-piece.

United came to life after the break and Lee Vaughan was required to nod a Ben Davies free-kick off the line while visiting keeper Brandon Hall excelled to keep out Davies, Andi Thanoj and substitute Andre Johnson.

Chambers rattled the United crossbar as the Harriers threatened to add a third goal and the Pilgrims’ faint hopes of a comeback were extinguished with 15 minutes to play when Gough received his marching orders for a second yellow card offence.
