The Pilgrims were 2-1 victors over Bradford Park Avenue, having led through Wright's powerful fourth minute header, only to be pegged back on the stroke of half-time by Jordan Windass' stunning 35-yarder.
United sealed all three points when Elliott struck six minutes into the second half to make it a maximum haul of six points over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Craig Elliott had opted to name an unchanged XI from the one which defeated Curzon Ashton at the death on Saturday and United were soon into their groove.
Connor Dimaio was denied in the first minute by a resolute Bradford block following Keenan Ferguson's cross from the right, but it was Elliott's quality delivery from the left which found WRIGHT JNR in the fourth minute to power a header beyond Johnny Saltmer.
Saltmer saved well to deny Dimaio but his opposite number George Sykes-Kenworthy was soon in action too, saving well from Isaac Marriott and then Adam Nowakowski.
Saltmer subsequently saved expertly to deny Elliott initially and then Tom Platt on the follow-up.
Avenue equalised in spectacular fashion when WINDASS crashed home a beauty from midway inside the Boston half.
United upped the ante after the break and retook the lead when Jake Leake crossed precisely from the left and ELLIOTT steered home a left-footed effort at the near post.
Boston's domination continued, with Luca Havern blocking brilliantly from Jordan Burrow and Shane Byrne firing marginally over the crossbar from distance. Wright Jnr planted a header over the bar from a Dimaio cross.
United needed some stoic pieces of defending in the closing stages as they hung on to their lead but the closest either side came at the death was when substitute Fraser Preston forced Saltmer into another brilliant save in stoppage time.
