Sykes-Kenworthy denied Kelsey Mooney from the spot in the 63rd minute at the Your Co-op Community Stadium but after Jordan Burrow had rattled the post a minute later, Mooney headed the Brakes in front at the mid-point of the second half.

Substitute Kaiman Anderson sealed the deal for Leamington four minutes from time - with United's woes compounded by Tom Platt's red card in stoppage time.

Sykes-Kenworthy had been called into action twice early on, saving from Dan Turner and then Mooney, while Jack Edwards crashed an effort into the side-netting during a bright opening for the Brakes.

United came to life as the half progressed, with Shane Byrne firing wide from distance and Jake Weaver saving well to deny Connor Dimaio initially and then Danny Elliott.

Leamington had a golden chance to take the lead 18 minutes into the second half, but Mooney's penalty was well parried by Sykes-Kenworthy.

United countered and Burrow nodded Jake Leake's left-wing cross against the upright - only for Leamington to spring their own counter-attack in the 68th minute which culminated in MOONEY heading home Joe Parker's inviting ball from the right.

The Brakes sealed the points in the 86th minute when ANDERSON slotted home after Sykes-Kenworthy had dashed from his area in an attempt to rescue gaping holes in United's defence and was subsequently unable to regain his positioning in time to make a save.

Platt received his marching orders in the penultimate minute of stoppage time after tripping substitute Junior English, whom referee Michael Crusham deemed was through on goal despite being only just over the halfway line.
