Biography

Experienced defender Kevin Austin joined Boston United on loan in February 2011 — before making the move permanent at the end of the season. Arriving from Blue Square Bet Premier outfit Darlington, the big centre-half immediately impressed and was a key figure in helping the Pilgrims secure an end-of-season play-off place. The Trinidad and Tobago international started his career at Leyton Orient in 1993 and subsequently enjoyed successful periods with Lincoln City, Barnsley, Bristol Rovers, Swansea City and Chesterfield. Austin has also spent brief spells with Barnsley, Brentford, Cambridge United and Kettering Town.
