Talented left-sided player Rene Steer switched from St Neots Town to Boston United in October 2013 — only weeks after scoring a sensational long-range goal which sprang to prominence on YouTube. The former Arsenal trainee, most at home on the left side of defence, also spent brief spells with Gillingham and Woking earlier in his career. He appeared 28 times for the Pilgrims after his arrival and agreed a new deal in the summer of 2014.Season statistics
