The Pilgrims, showing eight changes from their FA Youth Cup exit to Lincoln City seven days ago, beat the Scholars 2-1 at Boston Town’s DWB Stadium to progess to the second round of the Football Conference Youth Alliance League Cup.

Bailey Forth, Jack Dykes and Kemal Yenibertiz were the only surviving starters and helped the Pilgrims record their third win in five so far this season.
