The Pilgrims were 3-1 victors over FC Halifax Town at Huddersfield Amateur, courtesy of Jack Waddington's 22nd minute opener and Johnson's brace in the 38th and 75th minutes.

Halifax had reduced the arrears to 2-1 five minutes after half-time, but the Pilgrims were fully deserving of their opening three-point haul.
