The 36-year-old, who began his career at Lincoln City, has joined the Pilgrims from National League rivals York City on a one-year contract, with a further year’s option.

John-Lewis netted against the Pilgrims in the 2022 National League North promotion final for the Minstermen – and has also played for the likes of Grimsby Town, Newport County and Shrewsbury Town.

He will bring great experience to United’s new-look squad, as they transition to their new full-time model this summer.

The Hammersmith-born striker’s move to the Jakemans Community Stadium is subject to final Football Association and National League approval.
