Boston United have completed their first new signing of the summer after clinching the signature of Leamington striker Kelsey Mooney.

The 24-year-old former Aston Villa trainee has put pen-to-paper at the Jakemans Community Stadium to become Ian Culverhouse's first addition of the closed season.

Mooney has had permanent spells with Hereford FC and Scunthorpe United – and was on target against the Pilgrims for Leamington in September 2021.

He missed much of the 2022-2023 season as he continued his rehabilitation from a knee injury – but returned to make 17 appearances for the Brakes over the closing weeks of the campaign.

Elsewhere, United can confirm that strikers Jordan Burrow and Jake Wright will not be returning for season 2023-2024 – as the Pilgrims gear up for their move to a new hybrid training model.

The long-serving duo move on with the club's thanks and best wishes for the future.

Burrow signed off with 16 goals to his credit in 81 appearances, while Wright netted 36 goals in 103 appearances.
