Boston United manager Paul Hurst will check on the fitness of three key players ahead of Tuesday evening's home clash against Gateshead.

The Pilgrims entertain bottom-placed Heed (kick-off 7.45pm) – in the club's latest 'kids for a quid' fixture – with Hurst keen to involve defender Connor Teale and midfielders Levi Sutton and Gavan Holohan if fitness permits.

All three missed Saturday's 4-2 defeat at Eastleigh, alongside long-term absentee Dylan Hill.

Opponents Gateshead have a 2-0 home win over Woking to show as their solitary victory so far this season – and could include five former Pilgrims on Tuesday evening.

Alex Lankshear and Jordy Hiwula are both set to feature for Ben Clark's side, alongside former United loanees David Ferguson, Billy Chadwick and Rocco Coyle.

Last season's corresponding fixture ended 1-0 to the Pilgrims, with Tom Cursons on target, in one of four successive victories earned against the Heed dating back to January 2025.
