Preview - Scunthorpe United

Craig Singleton

Emirates FA Cup fourth qualifying round action is set for the Jakemans Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Boston United entertain Scunthorpe United (kick-off 3.00pm) in an all-Lincolnshire encounter.

The Pilgrims are aiming to reach the first round proper for the first time since 2019 – and for the first time since moving to their state-of-the-art new stadium.

Saturday’s fixture is one of five all-National League ties as 32 non-league clubs prepare to move into Monday’s first round proper draw.

Opponents Scunthorpe have endured a below-par start to the National League campaign and managed by ex-Pilgrim Andy Butler, could also include former United players Jean Belehouan, Joe Starbuck, Jordan Richards and James Gale.

Should Saturday’s tie remain all-square after 90 minutes, a replay will be held at Glanford Park on Tuesday (kick-off 7.45pm).
