Paul died on Wednesday morning – having served the Pilgrims across two spells as a player (1990 to 1992 and 1997-1998) and a stint as a member of the coaching staff in 2016.

He had also appeared as a Matchday VIP on a number of occasions – most recently in November 2024 against former club Dagenham & Redbridge.

In total, he scored 42 goals in 107 appearances for the Pilgrims.
