United clinch Shanks signing

The 19-year-old, who turns 20 during his loan spell, has been recruited with Northampton Town midfielder Scott Pollock poised to return to Sixfields at the end of his loan stint. Shanks has already enjoyed a successful loan spell at Nuneaton Borough this season.

Goalkeeper Peter Crook, meanwhile, has linked up on loan with Southern League promotion chasers Peterborough Sports, with the Pilgrims retaining a recall option should the need arise.
