The 23-year-old is manager Ian Culverhouse’s latest addition at the Jakemans Community Stadium – with United reaching an undisclosed agreement with Kettering Town to secure the Mansfield-born player’s signature.

Ward began his career at Mansfield Town and has since spent time with Barnsley and Kettering – in addition to a loan spell with AFC Telford United.

He scored five goals in 45 league appearances for Kettering last season – and his switch to Lincolnshire is subject to final Football Association and National League ratification.
