Waterfall arrives following Chris Doig's departure to Northampton Town – and takes his first steps into a senior management role following a stellar playing career.
The 35-year-old has played for a variety of clubs – appearing over 100 times apiece for Gainsborough Trinity, Lincoln City and Grimsby Town.
He captained Lincoln to the National League title in 2017 and helped Grimsby win the National League play-offs in 2022 – the latter under the management of Paul Hurst.
The holder of the UEFA 'A' Licence, Waterfall will officially link up with the Pilgrims ahead of their return to pre-season training at the end of June.
The club would like to thank Worksop Town for their co-operation in facilitating the new appointment – with Waterfall cancelling his playing contract at Sandy Lane to begin a new chapter at the Jakemans Community Stadium.
