Craig Singleton18 May - 11:00

Boston United assistant manager Chris Doig has left his role at the Jakemans Community Stadium.

The 45-year-old has linked up with EFL side Northampton Town as their new assistant manager - working under ex-Pilgrims' defender Chris Hogg, who is the new manager at Sixfields.

The Cobblers met the release clause within Chris' contract - and he departs with the club's thanks and best wishes for the future.

News on Paul Hurst's new assistant will be communicated in due course.
