The 22-year-old, who scored 15 goals in 76 appearances for the Pilgrims, will officially link up with the Minstermen from July 1.

With Maguire being under the age of 24 and having been offered terms of re-engagement by the Pilgrims, the clubs remain in dialogue regarding a compensation figure. Should agreement not be reached, it will be decided by an FA tribunal.

He signed from Sheffield United in the summer of 2024 and despite missing spells of the most recently-completed season through injury, still managed to contribute nine goals and nine assists as the Pilgrims secured a top half finish in the National League.
