The Robins provide the final midweek Pilgrim Way opposition of the season (kick-off 7.45pm), as Paul Hurst’s side attempt to bounce back from Saturday’s heavy defeat at Carlisle United.
The Pilgrims held a winning position at half-time at Brunton Park – but their afternoon unravelled when Frankie Maguire was red-carded. He will be suspended for the Altrincham encounter.
Hurst will assess his other selection options – with fit-again strikers Lenell John-Lewis and Jacob Hazel both named on the bench in Cumbria.
Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 1-0 to the Pilgrims as they edged towards completing their ‘great escape’ – while the Robins were 1-0 victors in this season’s reverse fixture.
Altrincham, managed by former Wealdstone boss Neil Gibson, are one place and one point behind the Pilgrims ahead of kick-off.
