The Pilgrims play host to Altrincham (kick-off 12.30pm) following an opening day defeat to Aldershot Town on home turf.
Paul Hurst’s side responded positively to win 2-0 at Solihull Moors last time out, courtesy of goals either side of half-time from Lennon Wheeldon and Ken Aboh.
Altrincham, meanwhile, have lost both matches to date – 3-1 at home to Southend United and 1-0 at Sutton United.
Since United were promoted back to the National League in 2024, both clubs have gleaned a 1-0 home win apiece from four fixtures – alongside a pair of 2-2 draws.
United will welcome defender Jake Rooney back from his one-match suspension, following his red card against Aldershot on the opening day.
