Preview - Brackley Town

Preview - Brackley Town

Craig Singleton4 Apr - 16:21

Easter Monday will see Boston United making a first return to the scene of their memorable promotion to the National League.

The Pilgrims visit Brackley Town’s St James Park (kick-off 3.00pm) for the first time since winning the National League North promotion final in May 2024 – aiming to clinch a victory which would seal a third successive term in the top flight of non-league football.

United start Monday's encounter 10 points above the fourth-bottom Saints, with a game in hand, as Paul Hurst's side sit tantalisingly close to the mathematical safety mark.

Hurst will assess his squad ahead of Monday's trip to Northamptonshire, following a tiring 1-0 defeat at the hands of title-chasing York City on Good Friday.

Brackley were made to toil themselves at Forest Green Rovers – losing 4-0 after seeing midfielder Zak Brown handed a first half red card.

Ex-Pilgrims Shane Byrne and Scott Pollock could both feature on Monday – but goalkeeper Cameron Gregory is currently sidelined through injury.

The match will be shown live on National League TV.
