Richards set for United departure

Richards set for United departure

Craig Singleton18 Jun - 14:00

Despite the club's best efforts to secure his services for the coming season, Jordan Richards will leave Boston United on the expiry of his contract.

The soon-to-be 29-year-old midfielder, who was voted the club's player of the year in April, has opted to embark on a new opportunity elsewhere - and will leave on June 30.

Richards is currently sat 59th on the club's all-time appearances list with 165 outings to his name – across three permanent seasons and one earlier loan spell with the Pilgrims.

He was part of the team which won promotion back to the National League in 2024 and he has subsequently gone on to play regularly as United have chalked up 19th and 12th placed finishes since their return to the top flight of non-league football.

Thank you 'Richo' – and good luck for the future.

With experienced midfielder Gavan Holohan being United's only confirmed new signing so far, further announcements will follow over the coming days regarding the next additions to the United squad.
