Former Rotherham United youngster Marc Newsham reached the 100-goal landmark in Boston United colours in December 2013. His strike at AFC Telford United was his 100th for the club and he concluded the season with 107 strikes to his credit. He joined the Pilgrims from Rotherham in May 2009, having helped Ilkeston Town achieve promotion weeks earlier. Newsham grabbed the headlines by scoring 29 goals as the Pilgrims earned promotion to Blue Square Bet North at the end of 2009-2010. The 2010-2011 campaign was interrupted by a series of niggling injuries, but Newsham agreed a new deal in the summer of 2011 and netted 21 times. He signed new contracts in both 2012 and 2013 and despite an injury-hit end to the 2013-2014 campaign, he signed a new one-year deal with a further year’s option in July 2014.Matches Summary
