Sunderland defender Liam Marrs joined Boston United on a two-month loan deal in November 2013. The right-back had been at the Stadium of Light since the age of 12 and made his Pilgrims’ debut against Brackley Town. He was an unused substitute for the Black Cats in four matches under Paolo Di Canio at the end of 2012-2013 and his loan spell with the Pilgrims initially ran until New Year’s Day 2014. He rejoined the Pilgrims permanently in August 2014.
